Conor Ellis
Conor leads the Archus Health Strategy and Planning offering, having worked on global projects totalling more than UK £23 billion capital with experience in healthcare ranging from strategic planning to operational commissioning and efficiency reviews, post 10 years in hospital and NHS health management.
He has been involved in 150+ health projects including many of the UK’s largest hospitals, such as Central Manchester, Newcastle Hospitals, University College London, University Hospital North Midlands and has experience in planning some of the world’s largest health projects in 5 continents including Canada, Australia, Middle East and Europe. This experience brings transferable best practice, including his input to national toolkits like PAM & DQI where he is a current DQI independent facilitator. He has advised DH, UK Treasury and Government Property Unit on improving health efficiency, He is the lead author of several reports on improving healthcare outcomes with significant national media coverage and with his team have won several awards including technical advisor of the year and best designed healthcare facilities.
His interests are in future flexibility, innovation in care pathways, asset utilisation and technological change driving change to health building design and spaces. Conor led work on the health planning and project review process of the NHP 40 hospitals alongside delivering the clinical playbook for NHSI. He is now leading the Archus work with clients in Ireland.
